Just a small town girl…..that’s honestly the first thought that pops into my head when I think of “about me”. Is that the ADHD talking or my desire to find a way to relate to through a catchy song….I’m not sure. haha. But, nonetheless a true statement.

My love of story-crafting developed at a younger age when I realized that everyone had a story. People and their lives intrigued me. When I realized that I could create my own fairytales, it opened a whole new world for me to explore.

Of course I did not get here on my own….

Before the title of ‘author’, I am a wife and mother. My family is everything to me. I guess that would be a good thing considering I homeschool them and my husband works remotely from home. We really have to like each other to live a life THAT close to each other, haha.

When I told my husband two years ago that I wanted to write a book, without hesitation he said “do it!” However, I had to make the deal that I would not set expectations or tell anyone about it until I was certain it was something I wanted. He knew expectations would kill my vibe. Again, hello ADHD. It’s a gift and a curse.

A year later I had written a full fledged book. Then I was left with the question, now what? After some soul searching and realizing that I wanted helped in this process I began to reach out to some publishers. When I landed a deal for my first book, The Necessity of You, my life changed.
